Hello,
I am reaching out for your help regarding a serious and urgent problem!
My Acer Aspire One 722 laptop, which I bought a few months ago, will not restart since this morning.
I was playing an "Acer game" and when I exited the game, the laptop turned off and now it won't restart, it says:
"Check cable connection pxe-m0f exiting intel pxe rom no bootable device."

I went into the BIOS and there it shows "hdd model name none."

I am in a panic because this laptop also serves me for work.

Thank you so much for your help!

Configuration: Windows Vista / Firefox 14.0.1

Thank you Rhoeas for your response.
    I did as you said:
I removed the battery and held down the power button for 10 seconds, then restarted and I got the following message: "no bootable device-please restart system".
I checked the BIOS and I do have my HDD set as first boot.

I don't know what else I can do while waiting to get home and connect my external CD drive and put in the recovery CD (which I created before the first use of the computer) and boot from it, then use data recovery software to see what I can retrieve.

"A data recovery software" as I told you, download Hiren Boot CD, which not only comes with tools for data recovery, but can also fix quite a few errors.

Question: How long have you had this PC?
Another question: Could someone lend you their laptop's HDD for a test? (to replace yours, just to see..)
