unable to watch videos on canal Solved

Question

Good evening, I can't play the videos on the Canal Plus on-demand site. I download the video and start the player, but nothing happens. Thank you for your responses. Hunter

Personally, I found a solution!!

Access to the smartadserver ad service was blocked by one of the apps on my computer (could be AVG?) which added lines like 127.0.0.1 smartadserver to my hosts file (in C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc).

Delete these lines, restart your browser and that's it.

Also disable your adblocker!

Hi, What format is the video? Which player?  Could it be a codec issue? I'm pro-VLC =) : Have you tried playing your video in VLC Media Player?

I had the same problem...
You need to allow Flash content to store data on your PC:

I had this problem for a while, and strangely, it was only by restarting Firefox in safe mode, ignoring the add-ons, that updates were detected for the Java console, which didn't happen in normal mode... since then, everything's running smoothly! I hope this can help some people...

Hello, I found a solution: on the browser click on the toolbox (the little key at the top right) then on "options" > advanced options > content settings > first line "cookies" there's a line in blue at the bottom "Adobe flash player storage settings" click on it > flashplayer help page > 2nd icon from the left > global local storage settings > set the slider to 10 MB and check "allow flash to store data on your PC" and also the next box "store components etc..." > close the Adobe page > go back to cplus and it works! (if not refresh the page > arrow just left of the search bar)

I found the simplest solution:  Do you have the adblock software on Chrome (for watching football matches in streaming, for example)? If so, pause it and you will be able to see the zapping.
