Hello,
Currently a student living in a shared apartment, I've just noticed a slight inconvenience. Actually, no, not slight but a big inconvenience! In my rental agreement, internet is included but there is only one Ethernet outlet in the apartment for two or even three computers (at least two). Indeed, I want to play online with my roommate and have the freedom to use the internet without fighting for cable access.
After some research, I saw the possibility of doubling an RJ45 socket with a splitter, but it also needs to be doubled at the source, so that's not feasible.
Would it be possible to use powerline adapters (CPL) to connect two PCs to this single Ethernet source? Basically, I would need to buy three adapters..
If anyone is using this solution or has an opinion on it, I would love to hear it.
Thanks in advance and have a great day
Best regards, Arnaud

A simple switch... a cable going from the switch to the Ethernet socket, other cables going from the switch to each device to be connected.

Because the manuals don't say everything...
But not nothing either, right!

Hello,
Hub, switch or router? All the explanations here

To err is human, to persist (in error) is diabolical.
