Hello,
We have about twenty wired computers connected with RJ45 sockets. I wanted to add a workstation with a PC, but there are not enough RJ45 sockets on the floor to cable and receive the internet connection.
So I bought RJ45 Ethernet splitters to connect two workstations to the same socket.
But the splitter doesn’t work; only one of the two sockets is functional, which is pretty much useless.
Can you help me? I hope I was clear. If someone understands my situation, what should I do to connect two PCs to the same RJ45 socket?
Thank you for your response.

A switch with the necessary number of ports is more than enough.
At least, we can connect a few devices to several dozen depending on the case, all with a single cable in input... and as many cables as there are connected devices in output.
If you could at least explain what a "switch" is, it would help novices understand....
Switch = Ethernet port multipliers, 1 input port, N output ports.
