Hello,
I just bought an MP3 player. It's the MPMAN MP-F63. But now I have a problem because I want to charge it by connecting it to the PC using the supplied USB cable, but I don't know if I should switch the MP3 player to "ON" or "OFF". When it's set to "ON" and I connect it to the PC, the battery charging icon appears, but after a few seconds, the MP3 player turns off and apparently doesn't charge anymore. When it's set to "OFF", it doesn't seem to charge either.
Now it won't turn on at all.
Thank you for helping me.
Best regards.

I returned it to the FNAC store where I bought it, they gave me the same one back and told me that if there was the same problem, they would refund me in cash. I'm also going to see how it goes with the charger I just bought.
Hello,
I just bought an MPMan MPF63 MP3 player and I don't know how to use it. It's my first MP3 player and the manual is very brief, just on and off and figure it out.
Does anyone know where I could find a more complete manual? I checked the MPMan Europe website without success.
Thanks in advance.
Gwen

Hello,
I found a quite comprehensive manual on the website mpmaneurope.com!
You need to click on "products", then on "mpman F63", then on "download" and then on "French manual for MP-F63"... and then click on "download" again, it opens a PDF file of 11 pages.
Direct link: http://www.mpmaneurope.com/uploads/MPMan_UserManual_401.pdf
Furthermore, mine ended up working... apparently, it wasn't the player that had a problem, but my computer, with the USB port; on another computer, I was able to connect, recharge, and load music without any issues, and I also managed to get the radio working, the sound seems quite good ;-)
So, for me, the problem seems solved, phew!

Hi!
Do you have a manual?
If it's on "ON" and I plug it into the PC, the charging battery icon appears but after a few seconds, the MP3 turns off and apparently doesn't charge anymore.
Well, leave it for a few hours and you'll see.
Now it won't turn on at all.
Well, check the manual! Some have a small "reset" button.
Or return this junk where you got it.

Hi Lucky, I have the same problem as you with my MPman. Since you changed your MP3, do you still have the same issue? Keep me posted on the solution if there is one because it's very annoying.
Hello,
I just tried to use this MPman F63 player (chosen from my company's Christmas gift catalog, and I wanted to put some music on it before giving it to my daughter for her birthday next week…)
And I'm glad I tried, because apparently it doesn't work :-( (she would have been disappointed... and also, with the works council gifts, I think I won’t be able to return it…)
The computer recognizes a "USB device," but unlike what the manual says, it does NOT install it automatically... - and I just saw on the MPman Europe site that this often happens with XP SP2 (they advise reverting to SP1, no way... (grrrr))
What should I do?
On the Mpman site, we only find drivers for Win98 (like on the provided CD), as well as firmware (in "bin" format) for the F63, would installing the firmware do anything (how do you do that?)
When I plug in the player with the USB cable, it lights up with a "charging battery" icon, so it may eventually charge, but if I can't see it in my file explorer, I don't see how to put music on it?
If anyone has an idea??
Thanks in advance!

Hello everyone
just a little advice:
With the F63, when you connect it via USB (type 2, probably preferable), you should always leave it off whether it's for (re)charging the battery or for loading MP3 files.

Well, to answer your question, the only manual is on the CD-ROM and it is not very detailed. For the battery, they just say: "The battery provides 1.5V when fully charged. If the indicator on the screen is empty, the battery needs to be charged. Use the external charger (optional) or the USB connection from your PC." So this doesn't help me much. And the reset happens automatically when the MP3 is turned on. That is, when I switch from "OFF" to "ON." I've also tried leaving it on "ON" for 12 hours to charge and also on "OFF" for 12 hours. The result is that it is still not charged, it says "insufficient power!"
Hello,
I also have the same problem; when I turn it on, it shows "UPDATING MUSIC LIBRARY" and when I connect it to my PC, it shows "VERS 2801 'FS'"
Have you found a solution? I haven't; I still have the same problem. I went to the store, and they didn't give me a solution, and I haven't found an answer on the forums
It would be nice if you could help me if you've gotten some clarity
Have a good evening

I also have an MP3 player MPMan F-63, but when I connect it to my PC everything is fine when the battery is charged, and it is indicated as such.
But when I try to turn it on, the player flashes and keeps doing so, only stopping if I press the OFF button while simultaneously pressing the menu, play, and - buttons.
If someone could tell me what my problem is...
Thank you in advance.

Here you go, so the second one I got seems to be working, but I used a charger I bought separately, because we don't always have a computer next to us. So I recommend you try this charger first, and if you're still having the problem, exchange it. Keep me updated :)
Lucky13,
have you found a solution to the charger problem? I have one now and it's the same issue. I've already replaced... but it doesn't work.
How did you solve it please?

Pourriez-vous m'aider ? J'ai acheté un lecteur MP3 MP Man MP-F57. Merci.
Hi Blin.
You removed the firmware!
So you end up with a USB key.
The only solution: restore the firmware from the supplied CD, but since MPman doesn't provide it and they don’t have a decent website...
Find one on the net!

Hello everyone, I bought the MP3 MP-F62 yesterday and I plugged the USB port into my computer to charge my MP3 and I turned it off, but my MP3 is still on and charging. The problem is that I read in the little booklet that I needed to charge the MP3 for 4 hours before the first use, but I saw that too late because I had already tried to use it, and there was no sound in the songs I wanted to listen to. I wanted to know if what I did (putting music on my MP3 while it was charging) was dangerous, and why there's no sound.
Thank you in advance for your response, and if you could reply to me quickly, that would be nice.
See you!

Hello,
I bought the MP-F63 for my boyfriend... so, before the first use, it needs to be charged for at least 4 hours... I did that, the battery indicates that it is fully charged, but when I unplug it, the display is blank... I can press all the on and off buttons, the menu, the menu with the - but nothing happens...
I tried charging the player when it is on and also when it is off... no results :( The computer detects the player, I can copy songs...
What can I do???
