Hello,
I missed updating my MP4 player, a Mpman MP-CS155 1 GB
Therefore I would like to find the firmware for this player.
If someone has it or knows where to download it, please let me know.
Thanks in advance

Hello, I’m not writing to you to provide a solution to your problem but to ask for your help.
I bought the same MP3 player as you this weekend and I can’t lower the volume because the button to fast-forward is the same as the sound one. can you tell me how to lower it.
    thank you very much

      Hello Sheila!
It's been a long time since I used mine, but if I remember correctly, you have to press and hold the A-B button long enough to access the volume control.
Otherwise, does the installation CD that came with the player work, and if so, could you tell me what files are on it? Maybe one of the files could help me...
      Thanks, Nicolas

The Mpman MP-CS155 version 1GB, recently released on the market (Dec 2006, for Christmas really), all seem severely buggy in the firmware, in its version 2.611, the latest; there you go, nice Christmas gift indeed...

Hello, just to know, at least you had the mini CD when you bought it? If you have the mini CD, convert your MP4 so that you can read/read the videos you have.

Hey I bought the MP-CS155. I see a lot of people don’t know how to put videos, well I do, so I’m going to explain it to you...
In fact everything is on the CD, I know, personally I didn’t understand anything but I dug around and found it. The installation steps:
    - Put the CD provided with the MP-CS155 into your PC and go to My Computer and click on the "DRIVER" icon
    - You’ll see 5 folders: "ACT TO WAVE CONVERTER", "AMV MOVIE CONVERTER", "DRIVER FOR WIN98 USERS", "MANUAL", "MPTOOLS". Click on "AMV MOVIE CONVERTER".
    - Then there you see lots of folders. Click on the one called " MSIfr
    Package Windows Installer "
    - You will install the program that converts
    - Then, if you haven’t changed the default install location, you need to go to My Computer > Local Disk (C) > Program Files > MP3 Player Utilities 3.67 ** this is the installed program **
    - In " MP3 Player Utilities 3.67 " click on "AMVTOOLS" then click on the file called "amvtranform
    looksingle Microsoft"
    - After that the converter program launches. And in this window you will see a black square for the video.

    Steps to convert:
    - Click on the small folder next to "input file" and choose the video you want to convert
    - Below, click on the small disk next to "outfile" and choose the location where you want to save the converted video. Personally I chose directly on the MP-CS155
    - If you want you can watch your video by doing what I wrote above and then press "play"
    - Just below, right above "transcoding progress" there is a white frame with all the video information. Click it once and then go up to "output info" and click on the icon with a blue thing inside and you’ll see a "Property setting" window appear
    - You’ll see 96X64, put "128X96" and click OK at the bottom. and you return to the other window.
    - ** I know I’m going to repeat a sentence, read it anyway, the ending isn’t the same **
Below, just above "transcoding progress" there is a white frame with all the video information. Click it once and then go up to the orange and green rectangle with play, stop, pause, the progress bar,... to the left of play/pause/stop you can see 2 slanted arrows that point in different directions and next to it a square with another smaller black square inside.
Click the arrows and you will see the % increase at the bottom
    - Then when it’s finished you’ll see a message appear but it’s not a big deal, click OK.
    - If you didn’t place the converted video directly, your MP-CS155 will go get it at the place you saved it and plug in your MP-CS155 and load it onto it.
Voila I hope that was clear enough and see you later!!

      Hello you two,

I’d like to buy this multimedia player, but could you tell me if it is easy to put a 700 MB drive onto it, and if it is easy.
If so, is the quality good? (compression)
      thanks for your answers.

Hello! Regarding putting movies on this player, it's quite simple with the provided software. It will convert your film to another, much smaller format (suitable for the small screen of the player). However, I have some reservations about the quality of customer service. I ruined my firmware, and since the brand is not very well known, I can't download a correct one to get my player back up and running (and the CD provided was unreadable). Maybe you should check with more mainstream brands? At any rate, if you ever buy this player, let me know because I’m still looking for the firmware.... Nicolas

      Hello everyone!
You see, I bought this player too (the mp-cs155) and I have a problem!
In fact, I pressed the A-B button for a few seconds, then I turned off the device! When I turned it back on, my music as well as my photos weren’t there anymore, but my memory was still full! So I can’t restore the files that were stored because I have no more space in the memory…
      Could you help me?

Hello, my name is Tony and I have this MP4 MPMAN CS-155 and I would like to know how to put videos into the MP4 because when I tried to put them in I sent them to the MP4 via my PC but the videos ended up in the Music folder, so I can hear them but not see the videos. So I’d like to know if there is a manipulation to do so that the videos go into the Video folder.

Thanks in advance to whoever will respond!!!!

      Hello

To my knowledge, there is no specific directory for video. You just need to read it with the MTV. By the way, normally the .smv files do not appear when you choose Music.

On the other hand, I also have a problem. Having lost the original CD, I can’t convert the video files anymore. I tried a converter found on the NET but without success. Would it be possible for you to send me the conversion program on the CD? It would help me a lot.

Otherwise, like others on the forum, I have frequent player lockups. I’m thinking of updating the firmware to see if that would fix things.

      Thanks in advance

      See you

      Iroge

    Hello everyone!
I read on a site that this reader has 2 games!
I would have liked to know how one can play them, if there are any?

    Thank you very much

Hi Nicolas, I just bought the same MP3 player as you. If you want, I can send you the drivers. But normally you can find the drivers on MPMAN's site; here is the link => http://www.mpmaneurope.com/download.aspx?file_id=465
Otherwise, if that doesn’t work, I’ll give you my email address. See you!

      hello dr.jagger
as I can see that you bought this player and that you are charitable, I allow myself to ask you two three questions about it:
      -is it really USB 2.0?
      - roughly what is its battery life?
      - are you generally happy with it?
      Thanks in advance!

To answer you, it is indeed USB2, it has a very good battery life (about 15 hours I think) and it has just two small drawbacks:
-There is no fast forward for videos
-I'm still looking for the two games that are supposed to be pre-installed
        Otherwise it’s awesome.
By the way, can someone tell me where to get firmware for this MP3 player?

Well I bought one yesterday and it worked but I used the CD that was in the box and now the software wiped everything I had in the mp3 and I can’t turn it on anymore but when I connect it to the computer it detects it anyway but you can’t access it there’s even no removable disk text

Hi, I have a problem reading videos with the MP-CS 155. Basically I can’t convert the videos with the converter provided on the CD, and if I convert with another software I can’t read the MP4s. Could someone please help me? Thank you very much.

Yes, you press the fast-forward and rewind buttons at the same time, it will turn off, and by the way I have a small problem too: when I listen to a song, at the end of the song it freezes; there is no option to listen more or to go to the menus. Am I the only one?

Slimshady I tried the advice you gave on the keys to press, thanks it helped me, but I don’t see your problem, sorry! But I have another question: when the mp3 player is charging, is it normal that the charger flashes red and green and that on the mp3 screen it says first "goodbye" and then "mpman"?.. when do we know it's charged?
      thanks in advance! bsx

Hello, I also have a problem with this player because my computer doesn’t read mini-discs, so I convert my videos with another software and when I send the (transformed) file, I can’t find it in my MP3 player, however when I connect it to my computer I notice that the video file is indeed present, so what should I do? Maybe we should create a new folder? please help me I’m lost

anyway I think there’s a problem at mpman!! because the MP3 that blocks at the end of the song gets annoying I tried everything even organizing the songs by renaming them but IT DOESN'T WORK
