Hello,
When turning on the TV and the TNT decoder (both are plugged into a power strip with a switch), the light on the decoder is green, but the picture on the TV only appears after a few minutes, or not at all. During these few minutes, the TV screen is full of static. I should mention that this is an old TV, but the decoder is new.
If anyone has any ideas, I'd be grateful. Thank you in advance for your responses.

Check that your decoder is correctly set to TV mode, meaning it "takes over" automatically through the scart, otherwise, as mentioned above, you switch manually to AV or EXT depending on the brand of the TV.

First of all, thank you for your replies, but even turning on the decoder a few minutes before the TV, it's the same.
However, I don't know how to check if my decoder is in TV mode.
Sorry, but I'm not an expert. -
Unfortunately, the manual doesn't tell me much.
However, I just discovered, thanks to you, that there is indeed a TV button on the remote, but after pressing this button, with the TV on, of course, nothing happens. I should mention that this button is labeled: TV/Radio. -
The TV is old and the remote control is too. Is it possible that there is no AV or EXT button on the remote? Or am I that much of an IDIOT?
Anyway, thank you for your patience. -
press AV1 (or 2, depending on where you plugged in your decoder) the decoder is a TNT HD decoder, so it takes about 30 seconds to turn on ;)

The problem: there is only one SCART port at the back of the TV. It's an old TV.

There is indeed a button with a rectangle and an arrow that you mentioned earlier. Could it be that one? After trying, this button has no action on the TV?

The remote control button is unresponsive.
However, on the TV, there is a program button that leads to: EXTERNAL: AV or SVideo?
