Connection between SFR Decoder and LG TV

Hello,
Configuration: Windows 7 / Safari 536.5
I recently bought a LG42lm670s 107cm 3D TV.
Everything is fine, I'm very happy with it.
I have one small problem and I'm not sure if it's really possible to do this or not.
My SFR decoder is connected via HDMI to HDMI input 1, I can watch my TV channels without any issues when I switch to HDMI 1, however, I still have to use the SFR remote control, I cannot access video settings since everything goes through the decoder for the picture.
So can someone tell me if my television can automatically recognize my decoder and TV channels, so that I no longer have to use the decoder remote?
I tried with LG's SimpLink, but it does not recognize the decoder (even though it recognizes the PS3)
