[Mouse] Wheel and scrolling Solved

Question

Hello everyone,

Since this morning, my mouse wheel doesn't want to "scroll." I can't scroll through pages or documents with it. It just adjusts the volume to the minimum or maximum.

I reinstalled the drivers, restarted my PC, my mouse... etc., and nothing works!

I didn't have this issue yesterday; everything was working perfectly...

I had the same problem.... And it was due to a key on the keyboard that was stuck (specifically the ALT key)  It's worth checking.

I had the same problem a few minutes ago.

Here’s the procedure to follow (I hope it has been resolved for you since August, but it may help others)

So, Start > Control Panel > Mouse (or Printer and Mouse) > Buttons tab > In Button 2 select Universal Scroll and in "Scroll amount" set it to 3 lines or more according to your needs,
check Use only a scrolling compatible with MS Office and Scroll only in the active window.

Personally, it worked for me, so I think it will be the same for you.

Have a good day everyone! The main thing is to know what you did in order to reset the settings back to how they were before in case of problems.

EDIT: If you have a zoom instead of scrolling in Excel, go to Tools / Options / General and uncheck the "Zoom with IntelliMouse wheel" box.

Radical method,
Under Windows click on Start/Run > Enter: firefox -safe-mode > choose "Reset preferences to Firefox's default settings" > Click on "Make changes and restart".

And there you go! Brutal, but effective.
