Mouse wheel that changes the sound???

Hello, I have a problem with my mouse wheel; instead of zooming or scrolling my page, it goes up, down, or mutes the sound. Please help me get it back to normal!!!!

INFO: Packard Bell laptop with Vista, Trust wireless mouse.

    you should have a button to change the DPI of your mouse (just below the scroll wheel)
    hold it down for about ten seconds ...
