Thunderbird Lightning Color Categories

Hello,

I just installed Lightning, which I'm discovering.
However, I can't seem to clearly display the colors of the defined categories on the calendar; all tasks or events appear with the background color set for the calendar.
Is this normal?

More specifically, I see:
- the event written in black,
- the event with a background in the calendar's color, the same color for all events and tasks,
- a bell,
- and a tiny colored rectangle representing the category. This rectangle, which is not obvious, is 2 mm at most and is half under the bell, so you have to lean in to determine which color is represented (it shouldn't have slightly similar or too light colors).

Is it possible to clearly display the category colors that were previously designated?

Thank you for your help.

Have a nice day,

Hello,

I finally found it: In Thunderbird, you click on "Tools" then "Options"
You click on the "Lightning" icon then on the "Categories" tab and you can modify
all the colors. You also have other interesting tabs for Lightning.

Best regards
Jacques

The only solution is not to use categories but to use different calendars, which may involve the tedious task of moving events from the current calendar to the new ones.

I am also affected by this "problem." Have you found a solution?

Thank you.

Hello,

I do not use the "category" function but exclusively the "agenda" function.

In my main agenda, I create several agendas in different colors.
For the event, I leave the category function on none and choose the corresponding agenda.

I don't know if this has helped you, I hope so.

Best regards

I was looking for various functions in the Lightning agenda.
The Agenda function corresponds to the function I would have called Category
The problem lay in the meaning given to words by Lightning and by myself: agenda, agendass, category...

In Lightning, the agenda, I have set up agendas (originally called categories by me): my own agendas (birthdays...) and agendas from the Internet (school holidays, holidays to celebrate..)

Best regards to all,

Mariq
