Hello

Is it possible to color, highlight, or bold the title of certain local folders in THUNDERBIRD?

I managed to change the icon color ("colorize folder") and the "properties" of the folder in question, but I would like to "impact" the entire icon + folder name.

Thanks

I don't perceive the connection between this link and my questioning.

Hello everyone....

If I'm not mistaken, this is no longer possible in the recent versions of Thunderbird.... you can have the option to modify the icon but the folder icon in the directory becomes invisible if you paste a new icon...

All we can do is customize Thunderbird this way ► See screenshot image below

In fact, it's a personal customization that can be modified as desired, but it is quite tedious to do by editing userChrome.css... there is a whole process to follow that I can share with you if interested?

Best regards ► A+

I will prepare the tutorial for you and upload the configuration I made to a host if you want, or you can figure out how to make your theme yourself... but it takes quite a long time if you don't know too much.

Otherwise, you can go ► Here

Talk to you later if that's okay.

I would indeed like to know how to do it... When it comes to implementing an operation that you define as heavy... I think I will abstain... the game (= accessing the file more easily with a specific visual) is not worth the candle!!!

Thank you for the information provided and to come

Hello.....

To customize Thunderbird ► See the procedure below

1► Allow Thunderbird to consider the Chrome folder and its content userChrome.css by following the instructions below

2► Open the configuration editor (equivalent to about:config in Firefox) by clicking on the Tools tab in Thunderbird ► Settings (the last one at the bottom) ► In the page that opens ► Go to the very last line ► Configuration Editor

3► Click on Configuration Editor .....

4► In the input field ► Copy/Paste ► toolkit.legacyUserProfileCustomizations.stylesheets and set its value to true by double-clicking on the search result:

5► Download the Chrome folder that contains the userChrome.css file ► Here (For info the downloaded folder is in ZIP format ► Just open it to access the Chrome folder ...)

6► Open the hidden folder containing the user profiles by following the instructions below

7► Launch Thunderbird ► Click on the Help tab ► Then on the line More troubleshooting information ► Click on the line Open the corresponding folder (local disk) ...the Profiles folder opens

8► Copy/Paste the downloaded Chrome folder from step 5 into the Profiles folder

9► Close and relaunch Thunderbird and you're done ......you have a customized Thunderbird .....(for info you can customize the userChrome.css file by changing colors ...but it is wise and strongly recommended to back it up beforehand because the process is quite lengthy and tedious to achieve the desired result ...the one I propose was made according to my tastes and is unique .....an example of the userChrome.css file is on the site link ► Cocci10

Important ► Keep the Chrome folder in case of reinstallation of Thunderbird if you want to keep the new look of the email client

For the icons ► Download and install ► Phoenity Icons

Note that if you disable this addon ...you will have customized and differentiated icons and that may be what you prefer....otherwise you will have the same icons as the screenshot posted in #4 yesterday ?

Cheers and A+ for the result

(actually I spent more time writing this tutorial than it takes to customize Thunderbird...it can be done in 15 minutes at most when the userChrome.css is ready ...)

Hello ctaup... Best wishes to you too

If problems ► Come back here, but it's easy to do as long as you remember to switch False to True in Thunderbird before installing the Chrome folder in the profile

A+ for the result

Cheers
