Hello,
I have a 500GB External Hard Drive formatted in FAT32.
Recently, I wanted to copy a 13GB file to my hard drive, which has at least 400GB of free space. An error message appeared, saying that it is impossible to copy the folder or file and asked me to perform a disk cleanup, which turned out to be superficial and useless.
To be honest, if I read correctly, I understood that it is impossible to copy a file that is too large onto my hard drive since it is formatted in FAT32.
But then how do I proceed? I have no ideas and I can't find any solution to this problem.
Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,
You need to convert your partition. The FAT system does not accept files larger than 4 GB. You need to convert it to NTFS, but the problem lies in compatibility. It all depends on how you use it. A FAT or FAT32 system will not be able to detect your hard drive if it is in NTFS.
If you decide to switch to NTFS, the process is not very complicated and you can keep your files intact.
