USB music that does not play in the car

Question

Good evening,

Since I have to take care of the music for a party with friends tomorrow night, I've been asked to handle the music.
So I have everything I need, I've put it all on a USB stick, so far so good.

But the problem is that the songs are not playing in the order I put them on the drive.

My question is: Do you know how to make my songs play in the desired order?

Format the USB drive to FAT32 and rename it, for example to "mp3" or something else, safely disconnect the drive using the Windows utility, then reconnect the drive and rename the files by adding a number at the beginning of the name: "0001 filename.mp3" "0002 filename.mp3

Rename the files by inserting a number at the beginning of the name:

"0001 filename.mp3"
"0002 filename.mp3"
...

and disable the random playback of the player... but the best option remains to bring the laptop to play the desired files in the correct order, with mixing software as well... ;)

OK! Media Player plays tracks in the order of artist names, then albums, then track numbers... as for the USB key, I had assumed (wrongly?) that it was an MP3 player... which reads in numerical-alphabetical order of file names... unless otherwise specified in advanced settings.

or use the software drive sort. It may be that even after tagging files (for example with the very good program mp3 tag) the files are not in the correct playback order on another device (e.g. player). Once you have copied the tagged files to your player, that's where "drive sort" in one click puts everything in order. Simple and effective!

I also have this problem. I'm just not using the USB stick on a computer but on my son's stereo and the songs are not playing in the right order even though I numbered them 1-, 2-.
