Hello,
I purchased a 2.5-inch external hard drive. I am transferring my files from my 3.5-inch hard drive to the new one. However, for a file that is 5GB, it says:
What can I do??
Thank you in advance Configuration: Windows Vista
Firefox 2.0.0.11

I bet your hard drive is formatted as FAT32 instead of NTFS. FAT32 is the default file system type we have. However, it doesn't support files larger than 5 GB...
Format your USB stick or your drive by changing it to NTFS...
Pseudonym Note: To be able to transfer files larger than 4 GB to a USB stick or hard drive, it is unfortunately necessary to format it. When formatting, it is not mandatory to change the file system to NTFS; you only need to modify the "Allocation unit size" box. This value constrains the maximum size of files that can be transferred to the device. Most USB sticks have a default value of 4096 bytes, so you need to increase it to a larger value such as 32 kilobytes or 64 kilobytes, which will allow the transfer of files up to 32 GB or even 64 GB.

=> For large files that you want to transfer from hard drives to USB keys or vice versa: FORMAT TO NTFS !!!
