Convert video MOV file

Hello,
Just like in 2024 and 2025, I converted a mov video file on VLC, readable on PC but not on my TV this year...the other times it worked fine, despite a slight loss of image quality.
This year, I can read it on my PC.
But not on the Philips TV, the same one I’ve had for a few years!
I don’t understand.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me and guide me ????

Hello,
You asked the same question last year and the answer does not change.

Either the video is defective and there is no solution.
Or it has been converted with different parameters or from a source different from the iPad.
We recall that MOV is not a file format per se but a container with video codecs, audio, sampling..., it is enough that the TV, still the device most limited in this matter, cannot read them.
We can try another conversion tool as suggested in the other thread, I personally use Avidemux from time to time, there are more sophisticated ones.
But from time to time all parameters fail.
For example, I never read directly on the TV but via a DVB-T adapter or a multimedia gateway that offers more codecs: but even in this case some videos, especially AVIs, only work on the second device, others nowhere because it depends on the codecs they have and no conversion can provide ones readable while preserving the original content.
