Hello,
I bought an Acer Aspire 5715 notebook. I therefore performed a full system backup but did not make a backup CD. I had heard it wasn't necessary to make a CD since the entire system has been backed up on a partition dedicated to this backup and that I could access it simply by pressing Ctrl + F10.
I then installed Mandriva Linux 2008.1 on my hard drive and there, patatra, Grub (the bootloader) does not display Windows Vista. So I pressed Ctrl + F10 and nothing happens!!! No way to access the system restore anymore. I can still see my restore partition under Linux but it serves me to nothing.
What to do? Does anyone know how I can recover Vista? Has anyone made a system backup DVD and with great kindness could maybe mail it to me for a few euros??
Thanks in advance for your help.

Thank you for the response.
I just tried but it doesn’t work. Maybe it’s possible to burn the DVD from the files on the recovery partition. If anyone knows how to do it? -
Hello lacharpente,
I looked, but there is no executable file on the disk. I am under Linux and Windows executables don’t work. Maybe with an emulator but I don’t know how to use it... Thanks for your help -

Hello little meme,
Find the Acer folder in your main partition, you should have an EXE to launch E Recovery. Otherwise repost, I’ll see if you can download it.
See you later
