Automatic deletion in print queue

Hello,
We have an HP Deskjet 3820 printer and for the past few days it has been impossible to print. We reinstalled it on another computer and the problem persists.

The issue: when we try to print a document, it appears correctly in the printer's queue but after a few seconds the status shows "deleting" and the document disappears from the queue.

Thank you for your help.

Hi everyone ...

I have the same problem, I recently acquired a LEXMARK X2510 printer that I can't get to work on my HP Pavilion running XP.

I've tried everything, I'm pulling my hair out, I've had to reinstall this printer 50 times, done all the tricks mentioned in forums here and there and nothing ... (moving the spool, all possible and imaginable commands, net stop spooler, and of course cleaned the PC inside and out including the registries ...)

The printer installs perfectly, everything seems operational ... until the moment I want to print ... I start the print job and there ... the drama ... I see the printer icon on the right in the taskbar appearing for a few seconds (about 5 sec.) and then disappearing immediately ... nothing to do ... the documents sent automatically cancel ... I'm at the edge of despair ... I need help!

I've disabled the Windows firewall and my antivirus (AVG free edition) that could possibly conflict with the printer but nothing.

The printer ports are well configured (USB virtual printer)

The printer is obviously set as default ... but nothing at all, all documents sent to the printer cancel in the spool after a few seconds without any error messages ...

However, the photocopying and scanning work perfectly.

The problem is not with the printer as it works perfectly with my tablet PC.

Does anyone have a solution?

Thank you in advance for your help.

I think this problem is related to the Windows installation and a spooling issue
since I couldn't do a reinstallation of Windows (both XP and VISTA)
because the client's PC was new and under warranty, and he didn't want to incur expenses on a
new product, it seems that factory installations sometimes have a few little bugs.

I suggest to those people who have this printing problem that disappears by itself after
a few seconds, to format and reinstall XP or Vista and see if the problem is resolved.
If so, then it would give me information to investigate the spooling and other
print management programs

I hope this helps you.
