Unable to type my password in Terminal!!!! Solved/Closed

Hello,

I need to type my password in the Terminal to solve a problem (writing on an external drive in NTFS on Mac...) but I can't type it!!!

I can send a command, but as soon as it asks for my password, it's impossible, everything is locked...

PLEASE HELP ME AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!!!!

Configuration: Mac OS X Safari 525.20.1

Good evening,

When you type your password in the Terminal, you won't see what you are typing, and that's normal. Once you've entered your password, simply confirm by pressing the Enter key.

you are not very clear, and you're not indicating what you are trying to do, just that "everything is blocked."
That doesn't give much of a clue.

I remind you that it is necessary to use sudo or su to acquire super-user rights and that the password is never displayed or even indicated by asterisks. You need to type it in and then press enter, that's all.

Good evening
I have the same problem, I enter the command line "sudo aptitude install sun-java6-plugin" and press enter
it then asks me for my password which is the same as during the installation, but the terminal does not respond to my keyboard inputs.
What should I do?
