keychain password Solved/Closed

Question

Hello, I have a problem with the keychain password, it keeps popping up all the time when I'm on the internet asking for a password that I never assigned!!! It's not a big deal since I just have to click cancel, but I would like to have a solution, if someone can help me it would be nice, thanks. I am on macosx 10.3.9

You just need to go to Preferences... in the "Keychain Access" tab, then in General, click on Reset My Keychain. Enter the admin password and that's it!! There you go!

no. the last time I did a reinstall, the keychain asked me for a password. I gave it my user password. try your user password -- "it's fun to do the impossible" -Walt Disney-

I tried all possible passwords and also the administrator one, but it doesn't want to budge. However, it's not a big deal; it doesn't prevent me from using the internet, it's just a bit recurring! Thank you for replying to me.

I found
go to Keychain and select the one that asks for your password
delete it, OSX will ask you for your admin password
create a new one and give it your user password. If you give it a different one, every time your browser needs to access the keychain, it will ask you for this password

I encountered the same problem in a way...
Personally, because I had recently changed my admin password...
The password for the keychain was still set to the old admin password...
If this can help someone, you never know...

Hello,  To the questions asked by 100dra and guigui, here is my answer:  The Keychain Access is in "Applications -> Utilities". That said, once in the Keychain Access application, you will not find what j3an03 described ("then in general, you click on reset my keychain.". You need to open the menu "Keychain Access -> Keychain S.O.S" and first select "Verify" then click "Start" and if necessary in a second step "Repair" and "Start".  Ritchi

Hello, I had the same problem.. But, you just need to go to 'Launchpad', then in the search bar type Keychain & after you see a logo with keys, click on it and then simply press 2 keys on your keyboard " cmd " & " , " " CMD + , Then it asks you to reset your password, you enter the password it wants or you delete it.
