Hello,
I get the message "error 70: permission denied" when I modify settings in BATIGEST V6 under Windows VISTA. How can I obtain permission? Additionally, the software takes a very long time to open.
Thank you for your help.

I have exactly the same issue. Apparently, no one is answering the question?

Thank you

Erf, do you also have this error message?
Actually, I think I've seen a bit where it seems to come from, but I haven't found a workaround yet.

Batigest, when it starts, saves the username in a file called Batig.dat in the Windows\system32 directory, but there may be other files stored in this directory or another "system" directory.

The big difference between Windows XP and Vista is that under Vista, a program usually doesn't have the rights to do anything in the operating system directories, which is why there is a long response time before it says it can't save the info.

Hoping to have contributed my help and wishing that one of you finds a way to circumvent the error.

What doesn't reassure me is that I have this issue in Batigest PME v5 and I was thinking of upgrading to v6... but from what I read here, I will have the same issue ^^'

Unfortunately, I don't have an answer for you, but have you found a solution? I have the same problem with a new machine.

Hello,

It also works on XP!

For Xp, this error is not due to the fact that you do not have the necessary rights at the level of your profile (user or admin) for a Batigest setting??

A question asked out of curiosity, you never know...

Batigest must be installed and run as an administrator in order to access certain areas of the system.
In particular, the Temp directories of Users and the registry.
The system's rights controls are heightened under Vista. (For example, not just anyone can open a database under Vista)
It is therefore imperative to disable User Account Control.

For any questions of this nature, you can contact your dealer who will be able to answer easily.

Under Vista, you need to run the program as an Administrator. You can find this option by right-clicking on the Batigest icon on your desktop.
Additionally, the compatibility of Api plugins with Vista is only fully validated starting from version 7.

I confirm that in "administrator" mode, things go much better.
It is also important to launch the installation from the original CD as an administrator, so that the auxiliary APIs (the PDF export module) install correctly.
