Good evening Sidou84.
If you have an Acer PC, it should already be integrated in there. If you want to reset your PC to factory settings, it seems to me that it's F10 at startup. See you!

The installation won't be for a while, I still need to meet my buddy so he can give it to me, and since I'm leaving for vacation on July 7 and he's working... So I'll see if I have time or not.
In any case, I'll keep you updated, thanks again.

Good evening!
"And why aren’t you helping him if you know so much? I’m hallucinating... the guy talks but refuses to help"
Maybe he prefers to stay silent rather than give an answer that leads nowhere! (this is said without offending anyone!)
To (try to) be constructive, on the ACER site there are resources to download... as for whether it will help...
Another piece of info (I also have an ACER, but that’s not the info ;-))!!) the installation system is supposedly in a "hidden" partition named "PQSERVICE". If the partition is hidden, I would be surprised if an infection corrupted it (to be verified!!). To make the hidden partition visible, I used a freeware (but sorry, I can't remember the name!) once the partition became "visible" again, there was no issue duplicating it! So, what I would do is to dismantle the hard drive from the sick laptop, connect it to a third PC via USB2 (such a cable can be found for less than €30 almost everywhere), dump the partition, burn it onto a medium, like a DVD, DL if necessary, ensure the quality of the content of the burned medium, format the hard drive (2.5" I suppose!?), restore the partition structure, (at least the PQSERVICE partition!) cross fingers, pray, sprinkle the laptop with holy water (no, I’m just joking!)
From there, the PC should be in a position to restore the system according to the procedure provided by the manufacturer!... And another tip: For your next laptop purchase: avoid GERICOM and ACER. The former for its faulty design, and the latter for its NON-EXISTENT customer service/support to simply "register" a machine on their site (for warranty!) you need "assistance"... which doesn’t respond to emails (see the ACER user page (on the ACER site again). Hewlett Packard, on the other hand, offers for sale a system recovery disk tailored to each of their products... but it’s more expensive.....
There you go, I hope I’ve been clear, useful, and correct!
As for HiJackthis, maybe there has been, there is, or there will be someone to show me that this leads to a solution, but I’m still waiting! For me, it’s like a nuclear bomb to kill flies! and assuming it is something else, the system would still need to be in "condition" to install/run a new application! to then output a listing that should be analyzed by "someone" to then only consider an action, file by file (probably "manually"?) ...

Hello Mongo.
If this message is addressed to me, I only submitted an idea to Sidou! (post2)
The rest was a response to Mundows for his remark.
It's not that I don't want to help Sidou, but I left it to Mundows (see post timings)
Regarding the Hijack, it's not my idea.
Look on the right "resources on the subject", there are all the explanations needed for Sidou's question.
Take the time to read, and you'll see that there's no need to download a special tool to find this hidden partition.
I've had my Acer PC for three years, and I've never had any problems with it, so I can't say anything about the after-sales service.
Your last paragraph aligns with my thoughts, doesn't it?
Cheers!

I confirm that Acer = CRAPPY and I'm being polite!!! Good hardware but no service behind it and no installation CD upon purchase; I got the "Blue Screen of Death" three months after the purchase not knowing what to do (and not knowing anything since it's my first computer) I went to the store which called the parent company that responded "figure it out, it's not our concern if there was any mishandling!!!" and BAMMMM

alt+F10 at startup For the password 000000 press and hold the fn key and press the key where it says num lock in blue verify that the caps lock indicator is lit and find the 0 key in blue type it 6 times then the code 000000 validate ok if this manipulation does not work start in normal Windows mode then launch the Acer Recovery Management icon it will ask you to create a code if it has never been done and of course this will solve the password problem because there was never one before so necessarily it will give you an incorrect password.
Re Mundows.
I also have an Acer and I never got a Recovery installation CD because it is pre-installed from the factory. Moreover, if his PC is malfunctioning, I don't see what he will be able to do by creating a restoration DVD now. Except restore the problems he has now along with everything else.
See you!

Damn, I don't know how to do it myself. I have a problem too; Windows Live Messenger doesn't work with my Acer Vista. Do you know why?
I just restored the factory installation from the PC because the CDs don't work (so not needed).
If I understood your problem correctly, you just need to start the PC, and when the "acer" logo appears in full screen, press alt F10 and it will launch automatically. During the installation, it will create the erecovery logo on the desktop. I installed the other software and Windows updates, then with erecovery I created a factory restoration DVD and another user restoration DVD. I asked Aver for the procedure before finding it and I received the explanatory documents. As for "erecovery management", I'm looking to download it because it would offer a backup of the installed software according to the PCs, something that "erecovery" does not offer.
As for PQservice, it should be present.
I continue my search for "erecovery manager".

another solution for the recovery CDs:
you can buy from Acer the corresponding recovery CDs for your serial number (about 60 euros), but I don't know what the minimum configuration should be for it to work

Yes hello, I’m sorry to join your conversation. Indeed, I called Acer to get the restore CD because I lost the hidden factory partition and the announced price of around €60 is quite expensive!!!!!! I would like someone to send me the offers; I will pay for the CDs or DVDs and the shipping.
My laptop is an Acer 7720G Aspire with an ATI Radeon 3650 graphics card, and that’s the only driver that’s preventing us from installing XP instead of Vista, which I detest, much to the displeasure of some!! Who could help me? Thank you and have a nice day everyone.

Hi omega155,
this is not for eRecovery, you could have created your own post
for now, you are running with Windows drivers
I'm afraid it's an integrated chipset with the motherboard
the only thing that can save you, if you have internet on the laptop (via RJ45 network connection = cable)
for detecting the right drivers and downloading them
https://www.touslesdrivers.com/index.php?v_page=29
and click on "Start detection" (at the bottom of the window)
accept the ActiveX control
let it run and a page will appear with blue files
by clicking on the link, you will download the right drivers
- first install the motherboard chipsets
- restart a search to finish
- a badly installed chipset, and you have a file that isn't right or doesn't appear for the rest
(http://www.commentcamarche.net/forum/affich 3326713 update drivers)
also on: https://www.driverscloud.com/
to recover your drivers: http://www.commentcamarche.net/faq/sujet 6617 recover your drivers for free
also to solve certain problems (recover, install): "drivermax"
http://www.commentcamarche.net/telecharger/download 34055013 drivermax
https://www.clubic.com/telecharger-fiche27720-drivermax.html

Hello! I have a friend who is trying to restore the original with this program, but once in the menu, they ask for a password and the hint they give is "date." If someone could tell me what date it is about... thank you!
Hello everyone!
So, I had the same problem with a friend's PC. I wanted to restore it to factory settings because there were viruses everywhere. However, his Acer eRecovery Management was missing, I followed your advice, ALT + F4 at startup and boom, the eRecovery launched with the password 000000 (six zeros)
Thanks anyway!

Put your partitions in NTFS ... don't forget ... because I doubt that your IQ exceeds that of ACER ....
On the other hand, if your IQ exceeds that of ACER, know that ACER is going to scam you.

Hi, I also need to restore the system to factory settings using recovery management by pressing Alt and F10
but the password is not 000000. I'm advised: treb!!!
Is there an expert in codes and letters who can help me??

Good evening, yesterday I started restoring my computer, alt f10 works, Acer e Recovery appeared,
Select restoration type ok, 2 bars came out. The first system restoration is at 100% blue, the second system update freezes at 99%, it's already been 5 hours but the timer keeps counting, no password request, restoration destination ok.
Is it normal for it to take this long? Thank you.

Hello, I just read your post and actually, I have the same problem. I bought my Acer Extensa 5010 in 2007, I made my installation CD and since then I don't have any recovery to create another one. After several hours of searching online, I heard that you can only use it once and then it automatically uninstalls, making it impossible to reinstall. For my part, I have a solution but it's not very legitimate. I'm really sorry, I downloaded a Windows Vista and used my own valid key, and there you go, a brand new CD. But I still struggled to find other solutions.
Hello everyone...
You don't need to download (e-recovery management).
I just bought an ACER Aspire 5735Z, and (e-recovery management) was not in the START menu.
I had to create a recovery DVD using another software, but the DVD doesn't work.
So I did the following:
When your PC starts, the ACER logo appears, press (alt F10)
a window opens, this window is the (e-recovery management) software
and you just have to follow the instructions...

I suppose this is no longer relevant, but I had a similar problem.
Go to the BIOS (press F2),
then go to the second tab (Main), in this tab there is the option "D2D recovery", for me it was "Disable", if that's the case for you, change it to "Enable".
Save and exit the BIOS.
Upon reboot, press "Alt+F10".
And normally, it should be good!!!
