"HELLO": what is the purpose of this program??? Solved/Closed

Question

Hello, I just cleaned the PC and changed a few programs. I still have antivirus + Zone Alarm + Spybot I wonder what the program 'Bonjour' is, which seems related to iTunes * I would gladly get rid of it, or block its internet access (it seems to be made for that?) because I am trying to remove everything that "runs on its own" (automatic updates & co) Can you provide me with information about this? The Bonjour program is an Apple software that enables sharing, allowing you to listen to music from another computer.  It is an automatic local networking system that makes it easy to find shared printers and folders.  It is not necessary for the system to function, so you can uninstall it if you wish.

No, it is used to listen to music from another computer if that one has sharing enabled. It is useless, delete it.

Thank you very much :) It was starting to make me nervous to see Zone Alarm asking for internet access for itself every time I turned on the computer................ I imagine I will have to 'reapply' it with each new version of iTunes' Thanks again and have a good evening! s
