Hello,
I'm accessing Messenger through Facebook on a desktop computer.
Recently, about 2 days ago, when I'm chatting with someone on Messenger, a preset message occasionally pops up: "An unrecognized device has been detected on your account. We recommend that you compare the keys with those of your contacts to chat securely."
Could this be coming from my PC or my Facebook account?
In my settings and notifications, I have nothing at all and zero emails indicating any strange login. I don't use a key to log into the PC.
I'd say this might be coming from the other person, right?
Thank you. Have a good evening.

Hello,
If you regularly log out of Facebook, clear your cookies, or change your internet connection (or restart your modem), this could be the reason for this message.
The main thing is that there is no suspicious activity on your account. Check connected devices, your activity history, and the third-party apps.

Thank you for replying.
No, I rarely log out of Facebook. That said, I sometimes use another browser (on the same PC) and log into my other account that I haven't completely abandoned yet, but not today.
There is also no change with a restart of the router, and I usually only clear the cache. Clearing cookies is quite rare.
Everything is fine on the historical side or devices on FB.
