I want to project from my computer, but I'm unable to duplicate my screen on a projector or my TV. How can I do this?

You did not mention what you have tried and the available connections on the devices.
The easiest way is to have an HDMI output on the PC, an HDMI cable going to the TV or projector. On this device, select the relevant HDMI input and on the PC, use the keys Windows + P to select Duplicate or Extend.
