Bitdefender File Shredder

Hello,

I am on Windows 11 24h2 that I recently installed and (since?) I no longer have the option to delete files when I right-click on a file.

It seems that this has happened in the past following a Windows update.

Is anyone experiencing the same issue?

Thank you in advance.

Hello

If you can't find how to do it with Bitdefender, you can use SDelete GUI

Thank you but I have Bitdefender and do not wish to use anything else

The SDelete GUI program here: https://github.com/Tulpep/SDelete-Gui/releases/tag/SDelete-Gui-1.3.4

It allows you to add SDelete to the context menu, which is a Microsoft Sysinternals program for securely deleting files.

Thank you for the explanations, but I do not wish to add an additional program when the initial one (Bitdefender) has been working properly until now.

It's a simple and free way to wipe files or folders (Sdelete GUI).

I only know BitDefender by name and reputation, but I don't know how in the menus you can maybe reactivate the file shredder.

Sorry.

Hello @alost StatusMember.

Wait for a future Windows update or you can try reinstalling Bitdefender or contact Bitdefender support after all, they are the ones who develop and sell this software, so they are the best positioned to answer this question.

I know you don’t want another software, but for your information, you have eraser.
