Hello,

I bought a cordless phone, Gigaset Duo E290H, and I'm facing two issues. I can't set my voicemail to just one device. On the second one, there is no activation checkbox in the menu, and no voicemail icon appears on the screen. Furthermore, the battery icons on my screen do not fill in with black to indicate the battery charge level as stated in the manual. What should I do to resolve these two issues? Hello,

The E290H is the model reference for the handsets. Which base do you have? E290 (model without integrated answering machine - one button on the base) or E290A (model with integrated answering machine - multiple buttons (8) on the base).

You mention an answering machine, so it must be the E290A base.

Normally, if the answering machine is activated from one handset, it is also automatically activated on the other. If it's activated from the base by pressing and holding the button at the bottom right, it appears to be on for both handsets.

What does the display show on the handset where the answering machine does not appear?
Is it like below for the icon (1) representing the quality of the radio link with the base, or do you have a different icon? (see manual on page 21)

As for battery charging, did you wait the 5 hours of charging as recommended by Gigaset?
