How to completely uninstall an antivirus on Mac

Hello,

I wanted to test the Intego antivirus for Mac (in free trial mode), but it didn't suit me after all, so I uninstalled it using the Intego uninstaller.

When I tried to install another antivirus, it gave me a message saying "The Intego Mac Internet Security / Panda Antivirus security software is already installed on your device," and that the new antivirus is therefore incompatible.

I followed the Intego uninstallation steps properly, and after several searches, I even went on to delete the Application Support and Cache files in my Library folder, but I still get the same message whenever I try to start the installation of another antivirus.

Help please, I don't know where to look anymore :(

Hello

The tools for Windows do not work on Mac and its operating system.

So on their site, Intego provides methods to uninstall on Mac.

Note that sometimes you need to reinstall it to have the uninstallation tool on the Mac.

Sometimes you also need to disable a protection from the antivirus while it is running before starting the uninstallation.

Or in English for those who understand.

Rest assured, regardless of the operating system, it's always a bit of a hassle to uninstall an antivirus.

If Intego does not want to reinstall, you need to uninstall the antivirus you installed first, even if it did not install properly.
