Good evening,  Instead of installing OpenOffice which requires installing X11 (a specific graphical environment), it is possible to download and install Neo Office, a suite that is fully compatible with the Microsoft Office suite as well. - Written on the same basis as OpenOffice, but runs directly in the graphical environment of Mac OS 10, without needing to install X11. Good evening sanspseudo,  Thank you for the help. I downloaded NeoOffice for Intel and followed your steps "select Excel file, open with NeoOffice..." but I can't click on add.  So I'm currently downloading NeoOffice for PowerPC to see if this time it works (I don't know which of the two I have).

Hello sanspseudo,  Indeed, my MAC is very new (it was one of the Christmas gifts ,-))). I followed your advice and it is indeed Intel.  Actually, it still needed to be installed. I have tried several times and the location is still the same "HD", I receive a message saying "this installation requires 233 Go, you currently have 211 Go available. Space is insufficient and installation is impossible".  I deleted applications that I don't use but it doesn't change anything (did I delete them correctly?). Is it possible to install it elsewhere? Hello everyone,  Allow me to intrude shamelessly to express my astonishment: on an iMac G5 10.3.9, installed NeoOffice takes up less than 390 MB, including its preferences and the .pkg from the Receipts folder, and after being "patched" and localized in French. It is therefore curious that the system is asking Velfino for 233 Go.  If only I had a valid explanation to give him :-(  Best regards.
