Burn mp4 video files to DVD for TV

Hello,

I need to burn a series of videos (my lessons) that I filmed with my smartphone and that I have now transferred to my hard drive.
File type: MP4 Video File (VLC) (.mp4)

The idea is to be able to watch them on the big screen of the TV (it's not a smart TV).
I have blank DVD+RW discs of 4.7 GB.

I tried using Windows Media Player, but the file doesn't play on the DVD player of the TV.

Could someone please tell me how to proceed?

    Hello

    The first recommendation is to check the characteristics of your DVD player. In the documentation, you will find the types of encapsulation supported by the player; this applies to all players, whether physical or not (for example, a media file playback application on a TV).

    We often remind here that one MP4 file is not the same as another MP4 file. Encapsulation is a way to include a video format AND an audio format in a media file.
    The video can be encoded in various characteristics, and the same goes for the audio part.
    So, the content of one MP4 file (AVI or another) can very well be different from another, both named .mp4.

    Once you have the information about your player, you can possibly convert MP4 version "x" to MP4 version "y" using a program like Format Factory or VLC and others.

    PS: It should be noted that just because it works for your home player, there is no guarantee that another player will be able to do the same.
