DVD player not recognizing the disc

Hello,

I have a DVD player that displays "no disc" when a DVD is inserted. A specialist took it apart and cleaned the reading head with a can of compressed air, and yet the problem remains the same. Should I buy a cleaning DVD, what could it do that’s different?

    Hello,

    If the optics are clean, the problem lies in the dried grease on the rail on which the optical block slides.

    It requires a lithium-based grease labeled as suitable for lubricating moving contacts between metal and plastic parts (Safe for plastic (Important)).

    Otherwise, it's electronic.
