Second monitor not detected via the dock

Hello,

I can't get my second monitor recognized by my laptop. The laptop runs on Windows 10 and the monitor is connected via a dock because the single port on the laptop is already in use.

I want to point out that on my work laptop both monitors work fine with the base port and the dock.

Thank you for your feedback :)

    Hello,

If the dock is connected to a USB-C port, it is important to ensure that it can properly transmit video to a monitor. Not all of them do; some USB-C ports are only usable for data. For video output, the USB-C port must be compatible with Thunderbolt or DisplayPort. Check the PC documentation for this.

    Hello,

Thank you for this information. Can you tell me how to find out if the laptop port is compatible? What procedure should I follow?

    Best regards,

As I wrote, check the PC documentation, for example for my Dell 7586 it indicates:

      USB 3.1 Gen 1 (Type-C) port with Power Delivery/DisplayPort

        My apologies,

I was able to verify that the port does not support video, and I thank you for your responses.

        Best regards,
