Hello,

I have a problem with my HP printer, I bought it recently and I used all the cartridges, I bought new cartridges again but not from the HP brand, cartridges that should fit my printer.

I also unchecked the printer updates and I still can't print, is that normal?

It tells me that I need to buy authentic cartridges... this has been going on for several months and I've been trying to circumvent the system a bit but I don't know much about it, plus it's a Wi-Fi printer.

Thank you for your responses

    Hello,

try to disable the cartridge protection.

Start menu and open PowerShell, enter this command or copy and paste it:

     get-printer | Select-Object Name,Location

then open the web browser with the collected IP address, copy it without the (port :xxxx).

go to settings, preferences and cartridge protection, search for protection and disable.

    Example animated image below:

please let us know if this resolved the issue or not, thank you.

    Hello,

I thank you for these explanations. However, I have listened carefully to what you advised me, but it doesn’t work.

When I got to the navigation, I could not find the cartridge protection at all, and it’s not even shown in the preferences. I’m starting to despair.

    too.

Go to Supplies --> Power Settings and disable "Cartridge Protection."

        Hello,

The original request dates back to 2023...

I don't really see the point in responding to that!
