Chronopost Delivery

I ordered a computer on the HP website, I receive an SMS from Chronopost indicating a delivery for Friday morning. No delivery: I call and learn that the package has not left the agency! But the website indicates that there is an address error. The package is supposed to be delivered on Saturday. No delivery. I call again and find out that the delivery was not possible on Saturday because it was not chosen by the sender; indeed, they had chosen Friday! And it was Chronopost who chose Saturday!!! So it's postponed to Monday!!! I cancel my order. I'm fed up with Chronopost.

Chronopost is probably not the most efficient service, but depending on the delivery method chosen, all carriers combined, the most economical does not notify in a timely manner that a particular order will be delivered on a specific date rather than within a range of n days or, even if it is a particular day, what the time slot will be.
Very convenient...
For this reason, unless you are buying a piano, it is always healthier to have the package delivered to a pickup point; you can go whenever you want or can, especially since it is not reasonable to argue for urgency when making a remote purchase.
Regarding the addressing error, it is certainly a sorting mistake, meaning the package arrived at the agency but was then mis-dispatched on a route that does not service your city/neighborhood.
This happens very often, too often, I know it from reliable sources.
I recently experienced this with a Chronopost package, delivery was scheduled for Tuesday, not delivered due to a so-called addressing error. And on Wednesday the package was not delivered either because it is the closing day of the pickup point, and I did not request to have it delivered to a pickup point, they arbitrarily decided that.
Result: I was forced to travel on Saturday to the Chronopost agency, located 20 km away!!!
Hello,
There can be a ton of other reasons conveniently labeled under this title: the staff is on strike or sick, vehicles have broken down or are stuck in traffic, machines are malfunctioning, human error, the delivery person was late on their route and skipped...
This type of problem also occurs in physical stores where what you asked to be ordered or made for you may have been delayed for reasons beyond the vendor's control.
The internet gives this impression of immediacy, what you order, including sometimes from China, is expected to arrive 3 days later.
The cancellation of an order is also quite ambiguous, I would be surprised if the sales contract between non-professionals specifies a firm delivery date, a cancellation clause if the non-contractual delivery time announced is not met within a few days, or even compensation in such a case.
In the same spirit and it wasn't Chronopost, I had asked a few months ago for a delivery to a pickup point in the town center 1 km from my home.
I was informed the day after the announced date by SMS and without being asked my opinion about its delivery to a pickup point whose existence I was unaware of in a remote area in the middle of nowhere, and I was equally unaware of the existence of the neighboring town 5-6 km away.
Not thrilled, but what else could I do but accept it?
