Hello.
After the automatic update of Windows 11 yesterday, my wallpaper color is black.
I customize my color, but after every restart, it’s still black.
I have to customize each time.
Thank you for your help.
Sincerely
Daniel

Good evening,
Consider uninstalling the update in question and not reinstalling it, and wait for Microsoft’s fix.
Is it necessary to install KB5120998?
For now, I would advise not to rush.
KB5120998 contains genuinely interesting new features, in particular:
- a draggable taskbar;
- a more compact taskbar;
- a resizable Start menu;
- the ability to hide more sections;
- Windows search free of Bing and Microsoft Store results.
But this update is precisely an optional Preview.
Its purpose is also to allow Microsoft to expose changes to a larger number of users before their integration into a mandatory monthly update.
Given the cursor and wallpaper issues already observed, there is currently no essential advantage to installing it immediately on a production PC.
You can perfectly wait for the next cumulative update, hoping Microsoft will fix these regressions by then.
