Continuous beep of a landline phone

Hello everyone, I have a technical issue with my landline phone, the model is an Alcatel S280. The technical problem is that when I put the landline phone back in its base, it starts beeping continuously without stopping. When I remove it from the base, it stops beeping, but the most alarming thing is that the screen of the landline phone hasn’t turned on since the electricity was cut and restored. Since then, this kind of malfunction has appeared. It’s rare to have this kind of issue, and I can’t do anything else. I have tried several manipulations to fix it:
- I removed and reinserted the batteries.
- I checked the cables to see if they were properly connected; the connections are good.
- I turned the box off and on again.
I have done all these manipulations, but it hasn’t led to the resolution of the issue.
I would like to know what the solution is to remedy this problem, thank you for responding?

Hello,
Is the electrical outlet where the base is connected working properly?
The constant beep suggests a low battery alarm, and the fact that the screen isn't turning on either.
I removed and reinserted the batteries.
These are not batteries but rechargeable batteries... Are they in the right direction?

Especially when it's not there...
Hello,
does the phone work or not?
maybe there was a lightning strike while you were away?
In which case, you should check with your home insurance about replacing it.
And there you go ....
But goodness, the line spacing is so annoying!!
Hello
It seems that this kind of beep indicates a low battery.
So you should first check that:
- the power adapter is properly plugged into the electrical outlet and, on the other side, into the base,
- the wall socket is correctly powered (unplug the adapter and plug in another device like a vacuum cleaner, for example),
- the handset is correctly placed back on the base.
I assume you have checked that the batteries are properly inserted and in the correct orientation.
Since the phone was purchased recently, feel free to provide feedback. It is very possible that it is defective. In this case, issues often arise very quickly after purchase.
What is well conceived is clearly stated,
And the words to express it come easily.
