Graphics Bug Flickering Shadow in AMD Games

Solved

Hello everyone!

I recently built a new PC for myself and I was lucky enough to get a RX 7900 XTX, but I am currently facing a graphical problem...

My previous setup was based on Nvidia, so I'm completely switching to AMD.

The problem I'm having is hard to describe, let me explain:

I'm experiencing sort of flickering on the shadows that outline objects, which is particularly noticeable in nature.

Here's a video I made: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/_he4OBN3YpY?cbrd=1&ucbcb=1

It seems to be related to anti-aliasing, but I'm not sure. The problem intensifies if I tweak that option.

The problem is definitely with the rendering on my screen because I tried recording the game with software, and no issues showed up in the video, which is why I filmed it with my phone for this video.

It happens in several games; in Red Dead, to resolve the issue, I switched from Vulkan to Dx12 and I no longer had the problem, but in other games, it still occurs, like Mount and Blade 2 and Ghost Recon Wildlands...

To solve the problem, I've already tried quite a few things:

- Reinstalling Windows

- Reinstalling the AMD drivers with DDU

- Changing the monitor/cable/DP port and also switching to HDMI

- Reinstalling DirectX

- Changing the refresh rate and resolution

- Updating the BIOS

My setup:

GPU: Rx 7900 XTX Founder

CPU: R7 5800x3d

Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX B550-A GAMING

Power Supply: Corsair 850W

RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro SL 32 Go (2x16 Go) DDR4 3200mhz

Everything in the setup is new except for the power supply.

I'm completely despairing and lost...

Do you have a solution to propose?

A big thank you in advance!

Hello

The RX 7900 XTX has some growing pains; you need to monitor the temperatures, especially when you experience bugs.

At the same time, you should check on the manufacturer's website for your card to see if it is on the list of affected batches to find out the steps to take with the manufacturer.

Hi man, I have exactly the same issue with a 6750XT AMD, 12600k, 32GB of RAM at 3600, 850W power supply, and Gigabyte B660... Everything is new

In racing games, the air vents flicker in white, the edges of shapes do the same, etc. I'll make a video for you tomorrow...

The vegetation is a horror, and the power lines too... The card isn't overheating, I'm at 144Hz with a new Iiyama screen... in 1080p

Hello, I had this issue which is none other than the image sharpening in the AMD settings, lower the slider or disable image sharpening.

Sorry, I couldn't find a solution for now, but I have the impression that it comes from the DX11 games. I'll dig a little deeper; if I have any news one day, I'll let you know :/

If anyone else finds the solution, don't hesitate to share!
