Hello everyone,

For the past few days, my Honor View 10 has been restarting on its own. It had already been showing signs of slowing down for several weeks/months.

The restarting issue occurs with any application.

I have already done a factory reset and restored my backup. The problem still persists. It can happen 1 or 2 times a day or much more frequently.

My battery is original and has shown signs of weakness for several months.

Could this be related to the battery?

I noticed at the start of the problem that when I was at 20% or less, the restarting was much more frequent.

But today, it happens at any battery level.

My version is Android 10 and EMUI 10.0.0

Thank you in advance for your help :-)

Have a nice day.

      Good evening,

      Thank you for your reply.

I had actually noticed the Brico Phone site!

Hoping this resolves the issue as it’s becoming annoying…

      Have a good evening

    Hello,

I changed the battery for an original one. No restart issues for a few hours. And now, it's happening again...

Does anyone have any idea about the source of the problem?

Thank you in advance for your responses.

    Good evening,

All automatic updates (play, system) should be disabled.

If there are no more restarts, it will indicate that an app's update is being problematic.

Identifying the culprit can be done by launching them one by one.

    ........

We can also suspect that it might be an app itself.

Similarly, the same logic applies: some should be disabled to see.

(Otherwise, for smartphones, the trick is to use a hammer :-) )

Unfortunately not. I have sorted through my apps, but it seems that it doesn't come from an application.

I have erased my data twice and reset the phone twice because the problems were still present ++ (slowness and restarts or shutdowns).

I had a restart at the beginning when the language choice appears... So I deduce that the problem comes from something else.

        But what? A mystery.

I still use it because I don't have a choice and I'm enduring the restarts.

    Try this https://smartandroid.fr/mon-honor-view-10-redemarre-tout-seul-que-faire/

System update and a test in safe mode seems interesting

I had already tried restarting in safe mode but that doesn't work. I just tried again, it starts normally.

Everything is up to date otherwise. There haven't been any system updates for 2 years, I think.

I feel like the RAM is affected. I have very significant slowdowns at times and it restarts afterward.

Regularly, I close the background applications with Avast.

restarting in safe mode as I understand it is kind of safe mode. If it still doesn't work, we might have doubts regarding the hardware.

    .

with Avast ... have you tested without Avast?

I managed to start it in safe mode. I had to press the volume up and power buttons at the same time.

I'm testing to see how it goes. But I already feel like there are some slowdowns...

I had uninstalled Avast at first, but I reinstalled it.

Edit: I didn't experience any restarts in safe mode. There are slight slowdowns, but nothing compared to the phone in normal use. I feel like it's overheating too, which is new because I didn't have this problem before changing the battery.

It had cooled down in safe mode.
