Copying SMS text on Honor Magic 6 Lite (Huawei)

Hello,
I have a small problem with my Honor Magic 6 Lite; when I try to copy the text from a text message, instead of having a selection to copy, cut, or paste, I get emojis instead...
I have searched, but nobody seems to have this issue.
