Sudden FPS drop

Solved

Hello,

I am reaching out to you because since this evening my graphics card has been acting up. Yesterday I was playing normally, maintaining a constant 150 FPS as usual, and now when I try to play my PC drops to 70 FPS and doesn't go any higher. I don't understand where the problem could be coming from, considering that all my drivers are up to date.

Best regards

Here is a screenshot when Valorant is launched, noting that usually my RTX never runs at 100% for this game! I don’t know where the problem comes from?

My card is an RTX 3050 Ti

    Hello

Brutally like that when waking up?

Seeing the various updates that have been made, many are causing bugs at the moment, notably the drop in fps in games, which may involve the game itself, various software publishers, online platforms, antivirus, drivers and firmwares, and even Windows; it's not a gift at the moment.

Yes, I abruptly turn it on to play and the FPS are no longer up to par.

Yes, recently I did an Nvidia update just yesterday and I hope that if that's the issue, it will be fixed quickly.

I'll take a closer look, but it can't be my antivirus because I don't have one (Windows Defender is more than enough).

I tried running a Benchmark where I usually have great performance, but this time it's absolutely catastrophic; it seems like the graphics card is dead even though it's running.

Yesterday I launched World Of Tanks and my PC started blowing like never before (normal, as usual), but yesterday it didn't stop, so I turned off my computer to make it stop. I don't think that's the issue.

      Thank you for your help.

FPS are no longer up to par.> many PCs affected

Nvidia update> yes Nvidia is heavily affected by bugs> try to get drivers only from AMD if you already have an AMD CPU. Uninstall and disable as many optimization/performance control/display/diverse recording/software as possible, as well as background discussions while playing, they seem to interfere and amplify the consequences (making the CPU and graphics card work in the background in addition to the game).

        Valorant> affected too

only yesterday it didn't stop> widespread symptom, World Of Tanks online multiplayer is one of the most affected games, many platforms concerned

I hope if this is the case it will be corrected quickly.> welcome to the club! we are all in this together.

Alright, thanks for all this information. Essentially, the conclusion is that we have to wait, lol. Just to note, my CPU is from Intel (i5 11400H), so I can't use drivers from AMD.
