Hello,
I have just been infected by Trojan.Win32.Bazon.a
What should I do please?

I finally restored my computer to a point from yesterday and the Kaspersky alerts have disappeared... Is the problem resolved as a result? Thank you for your expert opinion on the matter.

Hi,
Kaspersky being one of the best antivirus on the market, the problem should be resolved.
Nevertheless, I advise you to scan the entire C:\ drive with (antivirus scan)

To see, we will do a PC diagnosis:

Read the entire procedure before posting the reports
Do not post them directly in the messages as they are unreadable and incomplete

The reports FRST.txt and Addition.txt are expected

All reports must be hosted on https://security-x.fr/up/ and you provide the links obtained in your response

--> The SmartScreen filter may trigger an alert. Click on Actions or More information and then on Run anyway

--> Download the FRST version of Farbar, compatible with your system and save the file on your Desktop

--> For a 32-bit system
--> For a 64-bit system

How to tell which 32-bit or 64-bit version is running on my system?

--> Wait for your browser to offer the download to save, without clicking anywhere, especially not on the page sponsors.
--> Close all applications, including your browser
--> Double-click on FRST.exe and click Yes to accept the Disclaimer
--> Under Vista, Windows 7 / 8 and 10, the file must be launched by right-clicking -> Run as administrator
--> Wait for it to indicate The tool is ready to use
--> On the main menu, click on Scan and wait for the scan to complete
--> At the end of the scan, the reports FRST.txt and Addition.txt are created. Post these reports in your next response.
--> The reports are saved in the same location as the tool and under C:\FRST\Logs

If you don't know Babylon, uninstall it

If I understand correctly, your antivirus is Windows Defender? Kaspersky is just the free anti-ransomware module?
Do you also have Sophos for on-demand scanning?

So, uninstall Babylon and run a FRST scan again in normal mode. Post the two new reports

Re,

- In safe mode as otherwise it wouldn't work. Now it does!
- Babylon is a reliable dictionary that has been installed on my machines for over 20 years. No problem with that.
- My antivirus is indeed Windows Defender.
- As for Kaspersky, that's what you say.
- Same for Sophos.

No infection, just obsolete files to delete

Be careful about what you download, for example:

=> Spyhunter
=> Reimage

--> Copy what is here: https://textup.fr/621392TM from start:: to end:: (without pasting it anywhere)

--> Open FRST (or FRST64) as administrator and click on Fix
If FRST seems to freeze or is not responding, let it run

--> The PC will restart

--> A fixlog file is created in the same location as FRST, post it like the other reports

--> Uninstall Avast Update Helper which may have appeared in the programs

OK, for me, it's good. To finish:

To automatically delete all files/folders created by FRST and the tool itself, rename FRST/FRST64.exe to uninstall.exe and run it.

The procedure requires a restart.
