Unable to uninstall Kaspersky... Solved

Question

Hello,  I just acquired a new PC, Kaspersky was pre-installed...  Having purchased a Bitdefender 2016 license, I can't install this license because I'm being asked to manually uninstall Kaspersky (which I have done...)  I tried using Kavremover.exe but it doesn't detect anything....  I’m lost because I can't install my Bitdefender license...  Can you help me?  Best regards....    Configuration: Windows / Chrome 48.0.2564.116

Hello ;  I don't know which version of Kaspersky was installed, but I suggest you try the following 1-Reinstall the same Kaspersky version from the Kaspersky website (free trial version) 2-Restart your machine and use Kavremover to download from the Kaspersky website, following the instructions 3-Restart your machine and try installing your new antivirus  A-For your comments or results  -- Best regards I am only interested in people's qualities. Since I have defects myself, how can I allow myself to judge those of others? (Gandhi)

Hello;  I don't really understand why the Kaspersky uninstaller (Kavremover) can't uninstall its product, as it is designed for this purpose regardless of the official version installed: So, it's a mystery?? >> Since you have already tried to uninstall Kaspersky on your own, it's possible that not everything was uninstalled properly. When checking my machine, which is a Windows 8.1-64 bit, I noticed that Kaspersky is located in a completely hidden file that can be accessed using >> This tool >> You run it via its executable, and in the window that opens, you look for the line or lines related to Kaspersky and delete them by selecting Remove, then Exit to close (only those lines). From experience, I know that some software cannot be reinstalled if it has not been uninstalled correctly or is still present in those hidden files.  See this screenshot I'm not claiming this is a miracle solution, but it's worth a try. In this case, it would be ideal for you to reinstall the same version of Kaspersky, but... which one?? and then uninstall it with Kavremover and then try reinstalling Bitdefender.
