Unable to achieve 1000mbps

Hello everyone,

Having some error issues with my SFR 8 box, I decided to change all the fiber cables of my box as well as those of my Wi-Fi modem. Before the change, I had 500mbps powerline adapters, but I was capped at 100 mbps due to my cat.5 ethernet cables (100mbps).
I bought cat 7 cables (1000mbps) and connected them to test, my PS5 directly to my internet modem (directly connected to the fiber of my building) and magically! I reach 1000mbps download, so the cables are working properly. I then decide to connect my new cat 7 cables all over the house's equipment. However, since I have 500mbps powerline sockets, it would make sense that I reach the maximum of 500mbps download. However, according to the information provided in the box's settings, I am at 100 mbps on all my devices (even the PS5 that I reconnected with a powerline adapter). I don’t understand where this blockage might be coming from. Do I need to buy 1000mbps powerline adapters? Or is the problem not coming from that?
Thank you in advance for your help :)

    Hi,
    no,
your PLC modems like all of them are a scam, they sell you a theoretical speed of 500 Mbit/s but they themselves don't even believe it since they put limited Ethernet ports at 100 Mbit/s on them, your cables had nothing to do with it.
If you really want gigabit, you need to get rid of your PLC modems and install direct Ethernet cables, that's the only way to match fiber speed.
If you use 1000 PLC modems (on the label), you might have a gigabit connection on the Ethernet level, but very far (not much more than your 500 in reality).
    So a good solution:

    Hello,

To support Brupala's statements, it's necessary to read the results of the CPL box tests, for instance on "Les Numériques", this CPL advertised at 1.9 Gb/s:

The speeds do indeed soar compared to those of the 1.2 Gb/s models as we measured a peak of 435 Mb/s and an average speed of 271 Mb/s. ... We're still very far from the speed advertised on the box — which, let's remember, refers to the physical synchronization speed of the boxes

    Have a good evening.
