Hello,
on 29/09/21, Orange installed fiber at my place with a 2gb shared speed, so divided by 2 between Wi-Fi and Ethernet.
I have an MSI GL62 6QD laptop with a card supposedly capable of sending a speed of 1 gigabit 'Qualcomm Atheros AR8171/8175 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller (NDIS 6.30)'
but I can't seem to get the speed above 100 mb/s. I tried the cable provided with the LiveBox 5 and I have installed and reinstalled the drivers for the card, but in the speed and duplex settings of my network card's advanced options, I couldn't get 1gb/s to appear.
With my WLAN, which should also normally give me access to 1 gb/s,
what I get with a speed test is 211 mb/s.
SSID: Livebox-ADD0
Protocol: Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac)
Security type: WPA2 - Personal
Network bandwidth: 5 GHz
Network channel: 108
Connection speed (Receiving/Transmitting): 433/433 (Mbps)
IPv6 address: 2a01:cb10:319:c300:8cc9:fef:9743:f86e
Link-local IPv6 address: fe80::8cc9:fef:9743:f86e%4
IPv4 address: 192.168.1.16
IPv4 DNS servers: 192.168.1.1
DNS suffix search list: home
Manufacturer: Intel Corporation
Description: Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 3165
Driver version: 19.51.37.2
Physical address (MAC): 08-D4-0C-6A-0A-B3
What’s weird is that with my Samsung Galaxy S21+, I receive around 430 mb/s which is also below normal although it's the best Wi-Fi technology.
With my PS4 Pro, I can reach between 600 and 700 mb/s (and around 100 mb/s on port number 1 of the box (which is a bit strange)). My Ethernet cables are old and damaged, which likely explains why I can't reach 1gb/s with the console, but I will change them soon if I manage to solve my problem with the PC
I don’t know how to fully enjoy my new fiber connection on my PC; I would love to have 1gb/s speed as it should be, even if it’s just a little less.
Can you help me solve my problem and adjust the correct settings?
Thank you.

Hello,

No, that doesn't exist.
You can split the 2 Gbit/s over 2 gigabit Ethernet ports, but no one will guarantee you Gigabit over wifi, that doesn't exist, except in theoretical speeds that nobody has ever seen.
400 Mbit/s over wifi is already very good, not everyone has that.
