Hello
I have a desktop computer and I would like to change the processor.
DELL OptiPlex 3050
Motherboard: DELL
Motherboard product: 0WOCHX
Motherboard version: A00
I currently have an I5-7500 processor and I would like to put in an I7-8700 processor
Is this possible please

    these two CPUs are not from the same generation
    so the chances that the I7-8700 is compatible are low
    maybe by updating the BIOS
    but not at all sure
    the best option is to put an I7-7700, from the same generation

    however, an i7-8700 is impossible.

      Well, because it's a micro PC, it is a 7500T model and not a regular 7500.
      So it's a very low power CPU (35W)
      The stock cooler of an i7 7700 wouldn't even fit physically, as for the power supply, it would be overwhelmed.
