Hello, I'm seeking advice because I have a Packard Bell Easynote LE enle11bz with a 17-inch screen and I would like to change my processor to at least 2.40GHz if possible.
Here is my configuration:

AMD Dual Core E1-1200 (1.40GHz)

AMD Radeon HD 7310

4GB of DDR3 RAM

    Hello

    Bad idea......
Some CPUs are soldered to the motherboard. This one should not be the case, it should be in an FM1 socket.
    BUT
Will the power supply be suitable? The cooling? It probably won't be changeable, so it will be inadequate for a more powerful processor that generates more heat.
    It's not recommended.

I saw one at 1.70 with the same configuration as mine, but for 1.70 it is useless. It's a pity that it isn't feasible :( I thank flo88 for their quick and well-explained response.

And otherwise, no other way to boost the processor?

At this level (CPU) for a laptop, it's very very limited....
It's a bit of a "one size fits all" with these beasts.
The only hardware upgrades that are easily possible are the hard drive (replacing a traditional HDD with an SSD makes it like a different computer!) or the RAM (also, going from 2 GB to 4, for example, can make a difference). Well, you already have 4 GB..

After all, it all depends on why you wanted to change the CPU; if it's to boot faster and have more responsiveness on the computer, switching to an SSD will give you as much gain as upgrading to a more powerful CPU.

It's to play some games because I think I'm limited with the CPU right now, right?

Well, originally a laptop isn't designed for gaming...
Except for a few specific and very expensive models in general.
