EBP COMPTA OL 2018 - unable to close my accounting period

Hello,
I disconnected all my security settings, I logged in as "administrator" but I cannot complete my task because access to the Archives folder path is denied.

Do you have a solution? Thanks in advance because EBP requires payment to resolve an issue with a hidden defect and I don't have the budget.

Have you checked that you still have enough space on your disk for the backup?

Hello,
Yes, there are 95.5GB left on the hard drive.
Thank you.

Hello,

Yes, I checked: there is 95.5GB remaining -

The backups are working fine, it's the Archiving that is bugging, and without archiving, I can't close my exercise.
Thank you in advance.

In the menu "Settings/Company/Accounting Options," check that the year-end account save paths are valid.
Need to recreate them.

Hello,

Occurrences verified, everything is fine, but same result

"[Error] - Access to the path 'C:\Users\utilisateur\Documents\Archivage BOI.log' is denied."

It's frustrating!

Thank you in advance.

Oki.. if the path is correct, it's a rights issue from Windows, not EBP...
Check that you have the rights as a User or run the software as an administrator.

Hello,

first of all, thank you for your responses.
I started as an administrator (right click + ctrl on the icon, then right click + ctrl on run as administrator) nothing, same result.
I changed all the backup addresses to direct them to a backup USB stick that I use for my additional backup (this gives me two backups, just in case) same result.
I'm totally at a loss, not that I'm very strong in the first place.
I restored the backup addresses and tried again: same thing
I don't know what to do anymore.

There's something that seems weird to me...
Why do you have a "log" file in backup...!
Log files are information files... they are not a backup of data...
Do you have others in that location?
Are you sure you closed all the logs (normally you would have received a warning message)?

Last night, I didn't sleep well, so I was mulling things over and also found that ".log" strange. But I didn't know what it corresponded to. I went to my "archives" and found last year's file. It's a ".zip"
Of course, I can't say why and especially how. No .log files in c:\ except for some Windows .log files.
So I started everything over: data restoration before closing - validation of entries - monthly closing - annual closing - all with the assistant - no error messages - but still this message at the end

"[Error] - Access to the path 'C:\Users\utilisateur\Documents\Archivage BOI.log' is denied."

The worst part is that last year there had been no problem. It's very frustrating!

And have you thought about disabling your antivirus?

Yes, Avast is completely disabled, and the firewall as well (BIT DEFENDER).

Others have already encountered this problem, and there were two reasons for it.

I advise you to check again that you do not have other antivirus programs and the rights granted by Windows on the folder or directory.
