Hello everyone,
And thank you to those who can help me...
I bought the EBP quote and invoice software in March.
But since this weekend, I can't access it; I get a message saying:
"Unable to retrieve user language, the XML file is corrupted: '.', hexadecimal value 0x00, is an invalid character. Line 1, position 1."
I called the EBP support service, which asked me to pay €511 excluding taxes to get in touch with a technician... I find that quite scammy...
Honestly, I wonder if it's not intentionally designed to push us to subscribe to this additional service.
I just started my business and I can't afford this subscription.
Could anyone give me some information, please?

Does the error message provide the exact name of the corrupted xml file? Along with the path?

This file is the options file for the EBP program.
You can reinstall the software; it should fix the issue.
Otherwise, you would need to retrieve this hostoptions file and reintegrate it into your folder. Then, you will need to reset your preferences in Tools > Options.
