Panasonic KX-TG6821 Unable to make or receive calls

Hello,

I bought my KX-TG6821 three months ago and it worked perfectly until this week when (following a power outage?) calls are no longer possible.

When I call the phone from my mobile, I hear "The person is not available...", and there is no ringing. I am invited to leave a message, which I do, but no message is recorded by the phone.

When I call in the other direction, from the phone to my mobile, there is still no ringing, the elapsed time counter on the phone advances, but nothing else happens.

I tried what is advised in the manual, namely:

Unplug the power adapter from the base to reset the device. Reconnect the adapter and try again.

But to no avail.

Can someone help me?

Thank you very much in advance.

Hello,
If this phone is connected to a box... Reset it.
To do this, turn off the power to the box for a minute, then turn it back on.

Thank you Baladur for the quick response :)

Not connected to a box, but connected directly to the ADSL/telephone line. This is with the provider Orange in Belgium, but I don’t think these details are really important in solving the problem.

I hesitate to contact the store where I bought the device because I don't believe it's a hardware issue. I have only had positive experiences with Panasonic, in any field whatsoever.

Something went wrong in the configuration a week ago (related to this power outage?). For now, that’s where I hope to find the solution.

(I removed and then reinserted the batteries of the handset, but with no positive result).

I don't know the ins and outs of Belgian "Telecom"...
Do you pay two subscriptions, one for the phone line and one for the Internet with Orange?

Yes, there are two subscriptions; two lines on the bill.

But a night's sleep brought clarity, and... I'm quite embarrassed here... the issue wasn't with the line, but with the subscription. A call to Orange this morning, and 5 minutes later everything was working again.

Sorry for the unnecessary request ????

No worries...
The main thing is that the phone is working again.
