Hello everyone !!
While trying to add my shared printer from one Windows 10 PC to another Windows 10 PC on the same network, an error page appears saying "Windows cannot connect to the printer" with an error code "The operation failed with error 0x00000520"
Just a month or two ago, I was able to print from another PC, but today after sending a print job and not getting anything out, I tried to reinstall the printer, but unfortunately failed..
Thank you for your insights!
Lulu.

Good evening,
There seems to be an identification problem.
If the connection is made via Wi-Fi, it may be sufficient to re-pair the Wi-Fi network using the button on the printer and the PC.
By Ethernet on another PC or in general, you should be able to access it via its IP or UNC path and enter the requested credentials (username and password).

Hello everyone,
After receiving a new Windows 10 update, the printer has unblocked and is working again on remote PCs.

My "host" PC is connected via Ethernet cable over powerline and the printer (USB) is shared; it doesn't have the wifi option... (it's not recent but works!)
The other PC is a laptop that is on wifi, but this configuration used to work :/
According to some acquaintances, a Windows update (KB50005565) might be blocking the printer sharing functionality, but unfortunately I can't find this update installed on my "host" PC...
A "network" printer connected to another's USB port is rarely a brilliant idea, as you cannot connect to it via IP or network name.
There are at least 2 updates that could affect printers:
Print Nightmare, which can only affect almost all printers in non-administrator mode anyway:

KB50005565 is indeed mentioned by a reader regarding a USB share (but not with the same error code, yours indicating a rights issue), but you can always check for its presence (or not) and try:
